Welcome Beamer Park Families and Students to the 2026-27 School Year!

 

I am honored to serve our Beamer Park Elementary community, and I am excited to continue working alongside our community in the new year as principal of Beamer Park Elementary. This year we will be focusing on student achievement with our commitment to Professional Learning Communities, Literacy, and Rigorous Student Engagement. I look forward to continuing to work alongside our  maestr@s, families, and community as we work together to achieve student success.

At Beamer, we are not only the community school; at Beamer, we are familia. We make time to get to know you and your child/children in an effort to work together, utilize our resources, and build capacity among our staff, students, and parents as educational partners. Our Beamer Park Elementary family is looking forward to bringing you and your student(s) an amazing educational experience as we listen, support, learn, and continue to grow together.

The families of Beamer Park Elementary are unique in that together, we are a community. We are committed to the success of every child in dual languages, and we will work collaboratively to ensure that happens. Our priority is to focus on student learning through teacher efficacy and implementation of highly rigorous, standards-focused, instructional practice. Each year, we are committed to being intentional with building relationships, communication, and delivery of instruction for our students and our families. With these three areas at the forefront of everything we do, we hope to make every classroom a place where students feel loved, supported, and successful. Families, we can not do this work alone; we will need your support, so be sure to check weekly communications on ParentSquare, volunteer on our campus, and work together with our Beamer Park community to ensure success for ALL!

Our first two weeks of the school year will focus on relationship building, safety, school policies, and procedures while getting to know our students, discovering how they learn best, and establishing respect and relationships between maetr@s, our students, and all staff. Part of this includes providing more time to focus on social-emotional learning daily in order to build better connections and meet our students where they are. We will be working to create student leaders on campus and listen to student voices through class discussions, clubs, and surveys. 

We will continue to improve communication this year. Parents are a pivotal part of our success every year, but this year more than ever before. We are striving for frequent, meaningful messages each week. I will continue to deliver weekly messages on Sundays using ParentSquare. Our Maestr@s will also be communicating via ParentSquare, and we ask all families to stay connected to our Beamer Community. All families will be able to complete data confirmation beginning August 1, 2026, through September 14. We ask our families to ensure all contact information is up to date. This is the time of year to make any changes to your current parent portal and update all contact information online.  If you need help navigating the process,  we are always here to help and offer support. Our Beamer Park Community is committed to preparing and empowering students for a future of endless possibilities. We will focus on delivering the best first instruction. This means continuing to honor our dual language model, teacher collaboration, improve our practices through professional development to assist our teachers and staff with engaging all learners. Families, this is your commitment to support your child being a language learner and becoming bilingual and biliterate scholars. Each week, we expect that families read with your child/children in Spanish. We will share more details in the coming weeks.

I am looking forward to working alongside our students, Maestr@s, and families to make this an amazing year for our Beamer Bears!
